Florida Congressman Neal Dunn Endorses Julio Gonzalez

(Venice, Fla.) – Congressman Neal Dunn, who represents Florida’s 2nd District, has announced his endorsement of Dr. Julio Gonzalez for Congress, to succeed Rep. Tom Rooney, who announced his retirement earlier this year.

"In the more than ten years I've known Julio, he has always been a fierce fighter for his patients and their healthcare needs,” said Dunn, who is also a medical doctor.  “That's why I need Dr. Gonzalez's help in Washington - to fight to fix healthcare for all Americans, defend the Constitution and uphold our conservative values."

Dunn, of Panama City, is a surgeon and urologist and served in the U.S. Army, completing his residency at Walter Reed.  He founded the Advanced Urology Institute, a 45-physician practice with over 400 employees, as well as the Bay Regional Cancer Center.  Dunn is also founding chairman of Summit Bank, a rapidly growing community bank based in Panama City.

“Neal Dunn is an accomplished surgeon, successful small businessman, and advocate for patients,” said Gonzalez.  “He’s making a huge impact in Washington with the broad expertise he has in health care and business and I’m proud to have his support.”

Dr. Julio Gonzalez is a surgeon, attorney, and U.S. Navy veteran.  A successful small businessman, he manages a practice in Venice with 6 employees and treating 5,000 patients throughout the region.  A member of the Florida House of Representatives, Dr. Gonzalez is a conservative leader who received an A from the NRA, and pro-business scores of 96% from the Florida Chamber of Commerce and 100% from Associated Industries of Florida.  He has been endorsed by U.S. Senator Marco Rubio.  To learn more, visit www.juliogonzalezforcongress.com.
